Shipping Information

I ship my products via USPS Ground Advantage Service when the actual shipping weight is less than a pound.  All packages over one pound will be shipped via Priority Mail.

USPS Ground Advantage packages usually take 2-5 business days to arrive once the package has been shipped.  Priority Mail packages typically take 1-3 business days.  All packages will have a tracking number.

Please Note:  Unless stated in the product description, all jig orders are made at the time the order is placed.  I complete all orders in the order in which I receive them.  During busy times, jigs orders may take 5, up to 15 business days to complete.  If you have questions about my turn around time, please us the Contact Us page and submit a inquiry.

Shipping Charges

While I would love to offer free shipping, my volume of sales do not allow me to negotiate crazy deals with shipping providers.  Most small companies who offer free shipping will hide the shipping cost in the price of the goods.  While this is a good tactic to trick users, I have found when purchasing multiple items with the inflated costs will actually end up costing more in the long run.  I feel offering the best price per item and then having a separate shipping charge calculated via weight will actually lower the cost of the overall purchase, when buying multiple items.

I have had comments about the shipping the costs and why they are what they are.  In the end, I am actually probably losing out something on every order for shipping.  Let's look at a basic example of shipping a product.

My lowest shipping charge is $4.69.  Actual cost I pay to USPS is around $4.00 (Varies based on delivery address).

Cost of envelope, labels and miscellaneous materials: $0.15

Paypal selling fee on the postage: $0.20

These leaves about $0.34 from the actual charge.  Now let's take the time to package and take to post office at about 15 minutes.  This averages to about $1.00 an hour for my time to put it all together and to make sure it is delivered properly.  So you can see I am not "getting rich" from charging the shipping rate I charge.  I wish I could charge less or offer it for free, but unfortunately the costs are real and I'm not large enough to be able to absorb these charges.

If you made it this far, thank you for reading and I hope you now see why the charges are what they are.
